Open Enrollment Information

What you need to know!

We are pleased to announce the commencement of the 2024/2025 benefits open enrollment period for the YCCD offered plans through Tri-County Schools Insurance Group (TCSIG) medical benefits and voluntary benefits, including section 125 plans through AFLAC, and other various voluntary plans. This enrollment period will run from Monday, April 15, 2024, to Wednesday, May 25, 2024.

What can I do during open enrollment?

During open enrollment you can:

1. Choose a new medical plan option.

2. Add or remove eligible dependents (requires proper documentation).

3. Enroll in a flexible spending account including health, dependent care, and AFLAC products.

4. Enroll in supplemental life insurance (subject to medical exam).

5. Enroll in voluntary retirement plans (403(b) or 457 plans).

Important Dates to Remember!

Open Enrollment runs from April 15, 2024 – May 24, 2024.

Any changes and/or updates to your medical/vision/dental benefits must be made in HCOnline no later than,Friday, May 24, 2024, by 5:00 p.m.

Please be aware that this is the only opportunity to change health plans and/or add eligible dependents for the upcoming year without a qualifying life event.

If you do not want to make any changes to your current benefit plan(s), no action is required on your part.

How do I make changes to my medical plan?

As we approach the open enrollment period, we want to ensure a smooth and efficient process for all participants. To facilitate this, YCCD will once again utilize HealthComp Online via HCOnline.com for making open enrollment changes.

Please follow the steps outlined below to complete your open enrollment by 5:00 PM on Friday, May 24th.

Step 1: Log into HCOnline at https://hconline.healthcomp.com/login.

If you do not have an HCOnline account, use the new user registration member wizard to create one. For assistance, please call HCOnline at (800)442-7247 or HCOnline@healthcomp.com. YCCD OPC staff are not authorized to provide member enrollment assistance at this time.

Step 2: Once logged in, click on the “Open Enrollment” button to initiate the enrollment process. Take a moment to verify the accuracy of your address and personal information.

Step 3: Follow the guided enrollment instructions provided within HCOnline, which include:

• Selecting your desired plan and coverage level (employee only, employee+1, or Family).

• Reviewing information regarding your dependents.

• Responding to questions regarding “other insurance.”

Step 4: After completing the necessary steps, click the “submit” button to finalize your open enrollment form.

How do I enroll in or change my voluntary benefit plans?

YCCD offers various voluntary benefit plans to employees.

VOYA Voluntary Life Insurance

YCCD offers employees the option to purchase Voluntary Term Life Insurance through payroll deduction, covering both the employee and eligible dependents. Enrollment forms are located on the YCCD Benefits webpage. Please submit any changes to YCCD OPC using our online submission portal.

Aflac

During the open enrollment period, YCCD employees have the opportunity to enroll in the Section 125 Medical and dependent care savings plans and other AFLAC offered benefit plans. For questions concerning AFLAC products, please contact AFLAC Representative Adam Brubaker at (530) 419-2515. Please submit your enrollment forms to YCCD OPC using our online submission portal.

Employee Assistance Program

YCCD partners with TCSIG and Anthem Blue Cross to provide a robust Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The EAP offers a wide range of no-cost support services and resources, including:


Counseling, Legal consultation, Financial consultation, ID recovery, Emotional Well-being Resources, Dependent care and daily living resources, Crisis consultation, and Other anthemEAP.com resources.
