Lake County Campus

Through taxpayer support of Measure J, area residents now have greater access to associate degrees, career education certificates, and adult education coursework through expanded campus facilities at the Lake County Campus. Measure J funded the construction of the first permanent facilities at the campus, which replaced the original modular structures that had been serving as classrooms since 1975.

Measure J funded the construction of a new state-of-the-art Student Services Building/Library, a Culinary Arts/Multipurpose Building, and a Science Classroom, adding nearly 28,000 square feet of new learning and administrative space. The library includes group study areas, a computer lab, resource collection and reading spaces. The Culinary Arts Building features a restaurant with seating for 30, a instructional kitchen, classrooms equipped with the latest interactive technology, and a coffee bar with service window. The Science Building includes two science labs, a group study area, and faculty offices. The new buildings opened for student use in 2012.

Bond funds enabled improvements to portable classrooms and the security camera system, as well as new roofing, roofing repairs, and structural improvements to ensure the health and safety of students, faculty, and staff.
