As part of the District’s Values, YCCD embraces transparency and clear, honest communication. The Monthly Highlights intends to communicate to the District community major approval actions the Board takes at the monthly Board meetings. Special Board Meeting – New Trustee Orientation Session 
Prior to the regular July Board Meeting, the Board held a Special Meeting, focusing on the funding model of community colleges in the state and financial and budget planning of the District.  This Study Session is part of the overall Orientation Program designed for new trustees. Woodland Community College Employee Spotlight – Ian Anderson, Lake County Campus Instructional Assistant in Culinary Arts 

 

Consent Agenda
All items on the Consent Agenda were approved:   

  • Personnel Consent Agenda 
  • Ratification Agenda 
  • Monthly Financial Statement 
  • Monthly Warrants 
  • Memorandum of Understanding with the Yuba Community College District and the Yuba Community College District Foundation 
  • Disposal of Vehicles 
  • Agreement with Softdocs SC, LLC.  
  • YCCD Project and Services Procurement Software: Award PlanetBids, eProcurement Software 
  • Trustee Conference Travel 

 

Approval Actions: 

  • Approved: Employment of Interim Direction of Childe Development Foster Care Education and Independent Living at Yuba College (Direct Appointment) – Patricia Ryan 
  • Approved: Employment of the Interim Director of Child Development, Foster Care Education and Independent Living at Yuba College – Patricia Ryan 
  • Approved: Creation of New Positions to Retrain Affected Employees 
  • Approved: Amendment of Management Contracts to Reflect New Titles 
  • Approved: Refinancing of General Obligation Bonds 
  • Approved: Yuba College Dual Enrollment Agreement – Yuba County Office of Education   
  • Approved: Woodland Community College Soccer Field Project, Award to Field Turf, USA, Inc. for Construction Services 
  • Approved: Board Policy 3520, Local Law Enforcement – (Substantive Changes) 
  • Approved: Board Members’ Monthly Compensation: No increase for the 2025-26 Fiscal Year 

 

Next Board Meeting 

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Governing Board is Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Woodland Community College.
