As part of the District’s Values, YCCD embraces transparency and clear, honest communication. The Monthly Highlights intends to communicate to the District community major approval actions the Board takes at the monthly Board meetings. Annual Organization Meeting 

Annually, in December, the Board formally establishes the leadership structure for the upcoming year. At the December 18, 2025 meeting, the Board voted on the following for 2026:  

• President: William (Bill) Cornelius 

• Vice President: Dennise Burbank 

• Clerk: Jose Garcia  

• Confirmed the Chancellor as the Board Secretary 

• Approved: Authorization of Chancellor to Sign Orders on the Funds of the District and District Warrants for 2026 

• Approved: Verification of Signatures and Occupations of Member of the Governing Board 

• Approved: 2026 Calendar of Regular Board Meetings 

Adopted Resolutions:  

• Continuing Resolution Recognizing and Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 

Consent Agenda 
All items on the Consent Agenda were approved:   

• Personnel Consent Agenda 

• Ratification Agenda 

• Monthly Financial Statement 

• Monthly Warrants 

• Woodland Community College Curriculum  

• Yuba College Curriculum 

• Resolution Requesting County Action to Authorize Formation of a School Facilities Improvement District (SFID) 

• Trustee Conference Travel 

Approval Actions 

• Approved: Employment of the Executive Director of Advancement – Sierra Ronning 

• Approved: Revisions to Retirement Board of Authority (RBOA) Bylaws 

• Approved: Appointment of Retirement Board of Authority (RBOA) Members 

• Approved: Resolution Authorizing Approval of the 2026-2027 Application of California State Preschool Program 

• Approved: Resolution Authorizing Approval of the 2026-2027 Application of California State General Child Care and Development Program 

• Approved: Yuba College, Sports Complex, Synthetic Turf Field Replacement Project, Award to Verde Design, Inc., for Architectural-Design Services 

• Approved: 2025-2026 YCCD Board of Trustees Goals

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Governing Board is Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Yuba College.
