After every decennial federal Census, community college districts must review their population data and make any necessary adjustments to current trustee area boundaries to ensure compliance with state and federal voting rights laws, including legal requirements regarding maximum population variance between the most and least populated trustee areas.  Any changes to the Yuba Community College District (YCCD) trustee areas need to be approved by the YCCD Governing Board by February 28, 2022.

Proposed Draft Trustee Area maps for Adjustment of Voting Areas:

The YCCD Governing Board encourages members of the public to provide input regarding the content of draft trustee area election maps the Board will consider adopting as part of the decennial redistricting process.  On November 10, 2021, at the Regular Meeting of the Governing Board, the Board held a public hearing to gather input on the proposed maps.  At the December 16, 2021 Regular Meeting of the Governing Board, the Board will hold a second public hearing to solicit input on the proposed maps.  The versions of the maps are posted at the entrance of the YCCD District Office at 425 Plumas Blvd, Yuba City, CA 95991 and are available below.
