Materials ImageFirst Year Students
All Veterinary Technology Students are required to purchase at least two sets of navy blue uniform scrubs (top and bottom as seen in picture below). These scrubs are to be worn to EVERY vet tech class as well as at any off-campus veterinary work opportunity.

In addition all Veterinary Technology Students are to purchase the appropriate name-badge to be worn to every vet tech class AND to any off- campus work opportunity.

The name badge must be purchased from PIP Printing located at 753 Sutter Street, Yuba City Phone: 530-674-8040

Shoes should be of good quality, completely enclose the feet and be washable (i.e.: tennis shoes).

All students will need to buy the Essentials Skills List Book; this book will be available for purchase the first day of class at a price of $10. Veterinary Technology Textbooks will be available for purchase through the Yuba College bookstore.

All students will need to buy the appropriate CD ROM containing the semester’s Power Point presentations. There will be a different CD for each vet tech class, each and every semester. All CDs will be sold by the Veterinary Technology Club at a price of $10.

Proceeds from the sale of these books and CDs are deposited into the Veterinary Technology Club for use by the student club to fund activities during the school year.
Other: Please read the Veterinary Technology Program Handbook located on this website. Please ensure the Vet Tech office has on file a current, signed copy of both the General Waiver and the Rabies Waiver found at the end of the Handbook. Each student must sign these waivers EACH semester they are enrolled in the Program.

Second Year Students:
All the same uniform and supply requirements listed for First Year Students apply for the Second Year Students as well. Second Year students will need purchase the CDs for their vet tech courses. Additionally, Second Year students will need to purchase their radiation dosimeter from the company specified by program personnel (details will be given on the first day of class).
