Background Screening Information

The laws established in the California Veterinary Practice Act govern the behavior of a Registered Veterinary Technician; consequently, the students of the Yuba College Veterinary Technology Program will be bound by those same laws. In order to provide a safe and productive learning environment and to establish behavior patterns that ensure future success in this career, all entering students will submit for drug and alcohol testing at registration. Drug testing may be conducted, randomly throughout the two-year curriculum.
