COACHING EXPERIENCE:
Julia has been an Assistant Coach for the Yuba College Volleyball program since 1988. She was the JV Coach at Live Oak High School in 1988 and the JV Coach at Marysville High School in 2003. She is currently the Club Director (8th year) and Head Coach for the local North Valley Jrs. Volleyball Club.PLAYING EXPERIENCE:
At Yuba College, Julia played volleyball from 1986 -1987 and then played softball in 1989 and 1991. She was a Bay Valley Conference Honorable Mention both years in volleyball. In softball, she was an Honorable Mention her first year and an All-Conference outfielder her second year. PERSONAL:
Julia graduated from Wheatland High School. She makes her home in Marysville. She enjoys all sports, doing creative work on her computer, photography, playing cards (hearts), and teaches part-time in the P.E. department at Yuba College. |  |

COACHING EXPERIENCE:
This is Joe's first year as an assistant volleyball coach at Yuba. He began his coaching career in 1978 as the Assistant Track Coach for Hamilton City High School. In 1979, he was the Assistant Wrestling Coach at Chico Junior High School. From 1981 to 1994, Joe was the Head Coach of the Iron Horse Powerlifting Club. PLAYING EXPERIENCE:
Joe's experience is in weightlifting. In 1976, he was the State Powerlifting Champion in the 148 lb class. He placed sixth at the Collegiate National Powerlifting Championships in the 148 lb class in 1978 for Chico State. In 1979, he placed second at the Western United States Powerlifting Championships in the 148 lb class. In 1994, Joe was the Nevada State Powerlifting Champion in the 165 lb class. PERSONAL:
Joe graduated from Marysville High School and then attended Yuba College. He transferred to Chico State and graduated with a BA in Physical Education; and, he later earned his Masters in Exercise Physiology. Joe currently works for Fremont-Rideout Health Group as a Physical Therapist. He is married to Annie, and has a seventeen year old son Daniel, who is an avid soccer player. In his free time, Joe enjoys weightlifting, riding his Goldwing motorcycle, and sitting in his back yard with his new pool. He has been with Yuba College since 1994. |  |
