Shane finished his freshman season with 3 sacks (3rd most on the team), even though he played mostly fullback and was used sparingly on defense.

2008 Bay Valley All Conference unanimous selection. Shane was 4th on the team in tackles and 2nd in sacks and tackles for loss. He was also #19 in sacks, #21 tackles for loss in the State.
