After walking into Coach Cornelius' office as a 6'10 16 year old, never having played basketball-Festus has grown quickly to a starting center at Vanderbilt University in the SCC. After greyshirting for 2 years at Yuba College and learning the game of basketball, Festus was offered by over 25 Division 1 schools including UCLA, Florida, Ohio State, Pacific, UC Santa Barbara and many more.
He then spent the 2007-08 season as a redshirt at Vanderbilt continuing to learn the game and is now a freshman in the starting spot as a center for Vanderbilt.
Festus will be on the radar of many NBA teams and is still a puppy in the game of basketball. With his work ethic, growth and athleticism I can see Festus being a 1st or 2nd round NBA pick in 2-3 years-Coach Cornelius
