Bio:
Royal Edwards comes to Yuba College as a highly sought after recruit. At 6'6 and extremely athletic, Royal was on the wish list of quite a few schools before making his decision to attend Yuba. After a high school career that was quite a bit different than the "norm", Royal is healthy and is already on the radar of many high major Division 1 schools after just one summer with the 49'ers.
Royal was granted a "second" senior year at Capital Christian after he received an infection that almost left him paralyzed. He was given another senior year and took advantage of the ability to play basketball again.
Royal was named league MVP after averaging 22 points and 11 rebounds helping Capital Christian to the Division 5 Norcal regional game, eventually losing to Modesto Christian.
Royals favorite college team are the Yuba College 49'ers, likes the Lakers of the NBA, and one of his hobbies is text messaging on the cell phone.
If he could have dinner with anyone in history it would be his Grandpa, and his dream job would to be a 3-time lotto winner.
Royal has been named a third team preseason Junior College All-American by Sporting News basketball magazine to start the 2007-08 season.
