John Lee transferred in from Detroit, Michigan and was a part of Coach Cornelius's first team. As a sophomore John used tenacious defense to earn more and more playing time. By the time conference play began, John was starting along side Brett Ost helping Yuba to a 8-6 Bay Valley Conference record. In his best game as a 49'er John went 5 for 5 from the 3 point line and scored 18 points helping Yuba to upset Sac City college at their house. He also broke down the defense with 3 seconds on the clock and found Fortrell Wallace with the game winning assist to beat Sierra College at their house.
Jon continued his playing at Oakland University in Michigan
where he made the team as a walk on.
