When Coach Cornelius first sat down with Rodney Hannah as a raw and very athletic 6'7 basketball player he asked Rodney,
"Where would you like to play after your finished at Yuba?"
without hesitation Rodney said, "University of Houston Coach".
Two years later after developing his skills, winning a Bay Valley Conference Title in 02', making the Elite "8" in 03' and winning 46 games in his two years at Yuba his dream came true.
Rodney signed a letter of intent to play basketball for the University of Houston.
His junior season, Houston won 18 games and Rodney was a key reserve including a season high 18 rebounds and 12 points helping to upset Francisco Garcia ( current Sacramento King as shown in picture) and the 4th ranked Rick Pitino coached University of Louisville Cardinals. Recently, Rodney decided to hang up the sneakers and is currently on football scholarship to play tight end and wide receiver for the Houston Cougars.
Rodney has spent the 2007-08 season with the Dallas Cowboys on their practice squad where he is learning next to current all-pro tight end Jason Whitten.
