Nick Rhodes is one of those great feel good stories.
Cut by his high school team as a freshman, Nick continued to work hard as well as grow.By the time he was a senior Nick was 6'7 and 245 pounds and led all of Sacramento in rebounding.
Nick sat his first year at Yuba College to adjust to the rigors of college life as well as complete 35 units with a 3.3 GPA. After a solid freshman year backing up 4 Division 1 post players, Nick had a great summer and was signed early by Idaho State in the Big Sky Conference.
Had his best game as a sophomore with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists against Southern Utah and followed that with 6 points against Pac-10 power University of Oregon.
This season, Nick's senior year he has started over half of his teams games and highlights include a win at Sac State in front of friends and family with Nick getting a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds. Just recently Nick grabbed 19 rebounds in a Big Sky clash with Portland State University! Nick is on pace to graduate this spring '07.
