Lawrence Wright is easily one of the most talented players to come out of Northern California in the last 10-15 years.
After a high school career in which Lawrence was named Northern California Player of the Year and first team All-State he came to Yuba College to continue his dominance.
He was named second team "All Bay Valley" as a freshman. He was not only a first team player as a Sophomore but was also named to the First Team All State Community College Basketball Team.
Lawrence averaged 30 points and 15 rebounds over his final 16 games as a sophomore and finished the year with 64 dunks in 31 games including 9 vs Napa College.He also owns the schools block record with 13 vs Delta College as a freshman and also holds the schools Triple Jump record with a leap of 49'11''.

Lawrence took his 44 inch verticle and 7' wingspan to Bradley University where as a junior was named to the All Bench team in the Missouri Valley Conference and was a runner up to the 6th man of the year as he averaged 10.8 points and almost 5 rebounds coming off the bench. He averaged 17.3 points and 7 rebounds in Bradley's final 6 games as a Junior including a season high 26 points, 5 rebounds, two blocks and two steals in a win over Witchita State.
This year both Lawrence and Zach Andrews have helped Bradley to a Sweet 16 appearance in the NCAA tournament and a top 25 National Ranking in the final poll.
Lawrence was also invited to participate in the college Slam Dunk Competition held at the 2006 Final Four in Indianapolis.Lawrence placed sixth going against one of the strongest fields ever put together for a dunk event.
Nicknamed " Boogie" Lawrence just recently signed a lucrative Professional contract with the world renowned "Harlem Globetrotters".
