Bio:
HS- Matt was one of three current Yuba players who played for Coach Grif at Marysville HS.
Was an All-League performer who is know for his athleticism and his physical style of play.

Matt sat out his first year after HS and just took classes here at Yuba. "Matt didn't have the confidence to play directly after HS" said head coach Doug Cornelius. He always hung around the gym but was pretty shy. Then one day I saw him play in an open gym and told him he needed to start playing again. It didn't hurt that he grew another couple of inches and started hitting the weights either. With his athleticism and with how hard he plays Matt has the chance to be a D1 player. He has been working extremely hard on his shot and there aren't too many guys out there who are 6'7 who can run and jump like Matt. Mix in how hard he plays and works and he's got a chance.

Matt likes to eat Pork Chops and potatoes, loves the movie Shawshank Redemption, and wants to drive a Bentley.

Biggest inspiration is his mom!

Nickname is "Brocker the Rim Rocker" ( you'll know why when you see him in the open court)
