Kyle Newman, the sharpshooting wing who took over the starting role at shooting guard during the championship stretch run for the 49'ers has signed a scholarship to play next year at Dakota Wesleyan University.
During the last 16 games that Kyle was named starter the 49'ers went 14-2 and clinched their 3rd straight Bay Valley Conference Title. Kyle was also a reserve on the 2007-08 Yuba College record setting team that went 32-4 and won a title as well as appeared in the California Final 8.
