Trustee Xavier C. Tafoya - Area III

Mr. Xavier Tafoya represents Trustee Area III, which consists of the Esparto Unified School District and the Woodland Joint Unified School District in Yolo County as well as the Pierce Joint Unified School District and Colusa Unified School District in Colusa County. Mr. Tafoya was first elected to the YCCD Board of Trustees in 2000. His current term expires in 2008.

Mr. Tafoya is a retired small business manager who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from California State University, Sacramento and a Secondary California Credential. He has taught at CSU Sacramento, YCCD, and at various elementary, middle, and high schools throughout Yolo County.
