Yuba College

The WIA office on the Marysville Campus is part of the Yuba College One Stop Center. WIA is located in Room 121, next to the Admissions and Records Department. The office offers a computer lab with current software programs, internet access, a study area, and a small lending library for textbooks. Come by and see if you qualify for on the job training, books, supplies, childcare, tools, fees, testing, transportation assistance, and other school related needs. This is not a loan and does not have to be re-paid. You can be on Financial Aid, EOP&S, Care, unemployment, scholarships, and still receive WIA assistance. We are not in competition with any other programs---we want the student to be successful. This is not an entitlement program, you must qualify and then trainings and supportive services are based on funds available at the county level.

The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) on the Yuba College Marysville Campus, Room 121, is a referral office for all county WIA / One Stop Offices. Financial assistance is determined by county WIA counselors. Once the applicant is accepted as a WIA client for training at Yuba College, he/she will be referred to the WIA Office on the Marysville Campus for further assistance.

WIA partners with multiple local agencies and Yuba College to provide a complete array of services to meet the community’s workforce preparation needs. Partners include but are not limited to: Social Services, State Rehabilitation, EDD, Veterans’ Services, Disabled Student Services, Counseling, EOP&S, CARE, area high schools, Job Placement, School to Careers, Tech Prep, Upward Bound, and Tutoring Services.
