How to Apply

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be considered.

1. A high school student enrolled in one of the following high schools:
   
   
   • Colusa High School
   • East Nicolaus High School
   • Live Oak High School
   • Maxwell High School
   • Sutter High School
   • Wheatland High School
   • Williams High School
     
     
2. Students must come from a low-income family. Families on public assistance (AFDC, SSI, etc.) meet this income requirements.
   
   
3. The student must belong to a family whose parents have not earned a bachelor or higher degree. Students must also demonstrate academic potential.

Application Procedure:

• Be Referred by your high school counselor, Principal and/or school personnel. Self-referral is also allowed.
  
  
• Complete a Pre-Screening Questionnaire to determine eligibility for participation.
  
  
• If eligible, complete and submit an Upward Bound Application.
  
  
• Schedule an interview for you and your parent(s) with the Upward Bound staff.
