The Radiologic Technology curriculum begins after the student has completed
the required prerequisite courses, completed a special application, and
been formally accepted into the program.
The program consists of two years of concurrent radiologic technology
classroom training and internship at one of the approved clinical affiliates. The program is full-time. While the schedule may vary according to the assigned laboratory sections a student should consider the following schedule

Upon successful completion of all required courses, the student will receive an Associated Degree in Radiologic Technology and a Certificate of Completion and is eligible to the take the required Examination, which will qualify the graduate to work as a Radiologic Technologist.
This program is accredited by the State of California Department of Public Health, Radiation Health Branch and the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
Registration Certification as a Radiologic Technologist provides for employment opportunities primarily in hospitals, clinics, imaging centers, and doctors' offices.
Employment opportunities for Radiologic Technologists are expected to remain stable through the year 2020. With experience and/or additional academic preparation, many graduates have attained positions in the following areas:

- Radiography Education

Wages (varies with area and type of facility)
- $20-25/hour to start
- $30 + /hour with experience
Mission Statement:
The mission of the Radiologic Technology Program is to provide
a high quality educational environment which will prepare medical imaging
practitioners, who will support the highest level of ethical patient care,
while employing competent technical practices, with a dedication to the
radiologic sciences and a commitment to professional growth and life long
learning.
Goals:
In support of the Mission, the Radiologic Technology Program
goals are as follows:
- To enroll qualified students who will benefit from an
education in radiography.
- To provide a curriculum which:
- Supports the knowledge, skills and assessment
required to intelligently perform the tasks typically
required in the profession;
- Emphasizes the principles of radiation protection for
patient, self and others; and
- Meets the requirements of the Joint Review Committee
on Education in Radiologic Technology;
- Advocates and expects ethical and compassionate
treatment of patients.
- To encourage students to develop:
- Enhanced communication skills;
- Independent critical thinking/problem solving skills, to
effectively participate in the health care environment;
- A commitment of life long learning and continuing
education as well as the need to participate in
professional Radiologic Technology organization.
- To prepare student to write the National Registry.
- To assist students to achieve their educational goals.
- To graduate students who are competent and ready to
begin a successful career in Diagnostic Radiologic
Sciences, while fulfilling the community's needs for
qualified radiographers.
