Police Intervention

When an officer arrives at the scene of a domestic dispute, and determines that a crime has been committed, the officer may make an arrest on probable cause that the suspect committed the offense. If a known suspect is in violation of a temporary restraining order, the officer may arrest the individual—if they are still present when the officer arrives. In all cases, the officer will document the incident with a police report.
