Under general supervision, to perform a variety of accounting, fiscal analysis, and auditing in the preparation, maintenance, and analysis of County/department fiscal records and financial transactions; to learn County fiscal policies, procedures, and computerized fiscal management, payroll, and tax systems; and to do related work as required.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
This is the entry and first working level in the Accountant class series. Incumbents perform a variety of accounting and auditing work requiring some knowledge and background. Incumbents may be assigned to special work areas as dictated by the needs of the County or a County department. This class is distinguished from Accountant II by performing a lesser scope of fiscal management and analysis work. An incumbent who demonstrates sound work habits and sufficient knowledge and skill may be promoted to the Accountant II level.
REPORTS TO
A variety of supervisory or management positions, depending on the department or program area where assigned.

| Appraiser Aid | | APPRAISER AIDE
DEFINITION
Under general supervision, to assist with collecting, recording, maintaining, and updating property appraisal data; to perform routine on-site inspections of real and personal property; to assist with the preparation of the County assessment roll; and to do related work as required.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
This is a specialized, working level Appraisal Aide classification. Incumbents provide a variety of technical assistance with the appraisal of property and the preparation of the assessment roll in the County Assessor - Recorder office. Incumbents are expected to perform a variety of job assignments requiring some basic appraisal knowledge, as well as have the capability to explaining assessment procedures and regulations to the public.

Appraiser, Supervising; Chief Deputy Assessor Recorder-Evaluation, Assessor-Recorder.
