STATUS

DESCRIPTION

Applying

This initial phase of the recruitment process is considered to be the timeframe from the day the recruitment opens and begins collecting application materials until the closing date as indicated on each specific vacancy announcement.

The typical application submission period is: 10 - 60  days depending on the recruitment.

Screening

During the second phase of the recruitment process, our office will review each candidate’s application materials to determine their ability to meet the criterion as listed in the vacancy announcement.

At this point, HR is no longer accepting application materials as the final filing date has passed.

The typical screening period is: 1 to 4 weeks

Interviewing

The selection hiring committee conducts interviews with those selected for an interview from the applicant pool. Interviews are conducted in person at one of our locations – Yuba College, Woodland Comm. College or our Clearlake Campus. The selection hiring committee may decide to conduct a second round of interviews in order to make their final decision. At the close of this phase, the selection hiring committee will conduct professional reference checks on the finalist(s).

The typical interviewing period is: 2 - 4 weeks

Hiring

The selection hiring committee will contact the selected candidate and make a conditional job offer based on the outcome of their fingerprint clearance and board approval.  Unsuccessful candidate(s) are notified of the outcome of the recruitment via regular mail.  

The typical hiring period is: 2  weeks
