Student Accident Insurance Policy

All students are covered by an accident insurance policy up to a maximum of $20,000 liability for any on-campus activity or school-related activity off-campus. This is a secondary accident insurance coverage, which means that if students have their own accident policy it will provide the primary coverage and the District's accident insurance policy will pick up any excess claims up to the limit of its liability. If a student does not have an accident insurance policy, the District’s accident insurance policy becomes primary coverage up to the maximum limit. However, in many cases, the policy does not provide 100 percent coverage.
