Trustee George Nicholau - Area I

Mr. George Nicholau represents Trustee Area I, which consists of all of Yuba County, a small portion of Butte County in the Marysville Joint Unified School District, and the city of Live Oak in Sutter County. Mr. Nicholau was first elected to the YCCD Board of Trustees in 1979. His current term expires in 2010.

Mr. Nicholau earned a football scholarship from Marysville High School to the University of California at Berkeley in 1938. He graduated from the University of California Medical Center with a degree in Pharmacy and served in World War II as an executive officer on a minesweeper in the South Pacific. Mr. Nicholau is now a retired Pharmacist who founded the Marysville Clinic Pharmacy in 1946 and the Yuba City Safe Save Pharmacy in 1959.

Mr. Nicholau resides in Marysville, CA with his wife of 58 years Gaye. He has six daughters, six grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
