| MARINE CORPS SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION, INC - (02/29/2008) | MARINE CORPS SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION, INC. is offering scholarships to deserving sons and daughters of current or former United States Marines in their pursuit of higher education. Applicants must be: The son/daughter of one of the following: • An active duty or reserve U. S. Marine • A U.S. Marine who has received an Honorable Discharge, Medical Discharge, or was killed while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps • An active duty or reserve U.S. Navy Corpsman who is serving, or has served, with the U.S. Marine Corps • A U.S. Navy Corpsman who has served with the U.S. Marine Corps and has received an Honorable Discharge, Medical Discharge, or was killed while serving in the U.S. Navy OR • The grandchild of one of the following: • A U.S. Marine who served with the 4th Marine Division during World War II and is/was a member of their association • A U.S. Marine who served with the 6th Marine Division during World War II and is/was a member of their association • A U.S. Marine who served in the 531 Gray Ghost Squadron and is/was a member of their association AND A high school graduate, or registered as an undergraduate student at an accredited college or post high school vocational/technical institution (Scholarship awards are not available for graduate study.) AND The eligible applicant has a maximum adjusted gross income of $77,000 or less. The limit increases by $10,000 if an applicant's sibling also applies. For the purpose of determining eligibility, non-taxable allowances received by military members on active duty are NOT included in determining adjusted gross income. This income limit requirement is waived for any applicant whose parent was killed in combat in the Global War on Terror. AND GPA is at least 2.0. DEADLINE: March 3, 2008 for high school seniors graduating in 2008 and all others beginning who will begin their first semester of post-high-school study (e.g., college freshmen or first semester of trade school) April 15, 2008 for all other applicants (anyone entering their second or subsequent year of post-high-school education, whether or not you have previously applied for our scholarships). | The Chicks Who Click - (02/28/2008) | | The Chicks Who Click created a private funded scholarship to help one young woman pay for her community college education in pursuit of a career in media, journalism, creative arts, communications, or girls’ & women’s advocacy. To qualify, the applicant must: • Be a young woman between the ages of 17-20 living in the United States • Be attending a U.S. community college in fall 2008or winter 2009 • Be planing on pursuing a degree or career in communications, journalist, new media, creative writing or women’s studies. • Agree to send an update to CWC after the conclusion of the 2008-2009 academic year describing how your education is evolving, how the scholarship has supported you and what is next for you • Be prepared to provide proof of enrollment for fall 2008 or winter 2009 semesters. DEADLINE: MAY 1, 2008 Only electronic submissions will be accepted. Please submit the following materials to Tara Swords, CWC moderator, via email (tara@taraswords.com): • An essay of 700-800 words telling us your intended field of study, why you are drawn to it, and how this scholarship and support from CWC can help you achieve your goals • The following personal information in the body of your email: 1. Name, age, mailing address and telephone number 2. Name, city and state of the community college you plan to attend and when you will enroll 3. Your intended field of study

| The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation - (02/28/2008) | | The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation is offering a one-time $1,000 scholarship. The Financial Aid Office is asking for your assistance in identifying students who are in good academic standing and who provide service to your school or the community. Please nominate your candidate on the following eligibility requirements: • Must be nominated by a college instructor or staff • Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident • Must have demonstrated academic success (with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale) • Must have engaged in community service within the previous 12 months as validated by his college nominator either on campus or in the community (Note: There is no minimum requirement; however, we hope that you will nominate a student who is consistently active in the community) • Must be planning to enroll in at least two courses during the upcoming fall term at a two-year institution (Please verify your nominee will not be transferring to a four year institution before the upcoming fall semester). • May not be a child or grandchild of Coca-Cola employees. | The California Strawberry Growers’ Scholarship Fund - (02/20/2008) | The California Strawberry Growers’ Scholarship Fund is offering scholarships to qualified applicants in each major strawberry-growing region of California. To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be children of strawberry farm workers and have at least one parent currently employed (for at least two consecutive seasons) in the California strawberry harvest. | Beale Officer’s Spouses Club - (02/05/2008) | Beale Officer’s Spouses Club will distribute a minimum of $10,000 in scholarships this year. Applicant must be a dependent family member of one of the following: a. An active duty or reserved military member (Officer or Enlisted) assigned to Beale Air Force Base or on a remote assignment with family members residing in Yuba, Sutter, Nevada, Placer, or Butte County. b. A retired U.S. military member residing in Yuba, Sutter, Nevada, Placer, or Butte County. c. A deceased U.S. military member. Applicant must reside in Yuba, Sutter, Nevada, Placer, or Butte County. | North Central District Family and Consumer Science - (02/05/2008) | The Helen M. and Shalita T. Blackburn Memorial Scholarship Fund Undergraduate Application: One $500 scholarship will be awarded to a qualified applicant registered in the field of Family and Consumer Science. | The Sallie Mae Foundation Scholarship Programs - Academic year 2006-2007: - (06/15/2006) | The Sallie Mae 911 Education Fund The Sallie Mae 911 Education Fund was created in response to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The scholarship program is open to children of those who were killed or permanently disabled as a result of the terrorist attacks, and who are enrolled as full-time undergraduate students at approved, accredited institutions.* Scholarship awards of up to $2,500 per applicant, per school year, are available and may be renewed on an annual basis, subject to satisfactory academic progress.
