PhD Nutritional Biology, UC Davis I regard teaching as the most enjoyable aspect of my professional career, and the joy that I get out of teaching seems to create a positive educational experience for my students. Moreover, I strive for my students to develop a working knowledge of Nutrition so that the students understand conceptual issues, know specific details, and possess a contextual understanding of the subject. An understanding of Nutritional concepts and context will help students to integrate what they have learned with new information, either in future courses or outside of academia. Understanding the many interactions among disciplines creates a richer educational experience, and results in a student who has a greater understanding of how the many facets of knowledge and society are interrelated.
