Blackboard 8 Course Shell Request Form

Use this form to request Master and Active course shells. 

Master Development Course shells (MA) are for the purpose of developing your content for either a fully online or web-enhanced on-campus course.  Master Courses are permanent.  Content is developed, updated and stored in the master. You have access 24/7 year round.  Masters do not contain student accounts or data.

Active Course Shells are specific to the term and will contain student accounts. If you teach a web-enhanced on-campus course, you must submit a request for an active course shell for each course 1 month prior to the date registration opens for the term.  When your Active shell is ready, click on the course link and follow the simple steps to copy content from your master course.  Active Course shells for fully online and ITV active courses do not need to be requested. The DE staff will generate them. Active courses are deleted two weeks after the term ends. Be sure to copy any content revisions into your master course.
