Procedures for Using the Placement Examination At Sites Outside District Facilities

It has become necessary for Yuba Community College District to allow students to take our placement examination at places we do not control, and be proctored by persons we approve without actually meeting them. These procedures are intended to serve as guidelines for selecting proctors and securing passwords for those purposes. They are not intended to be all-encompassing or to limit access to the placement examination. Some situations will call for individual judgment. The basic guidelines should be to prevent unauthorized access to the District’s testing system, to protect the integrity of the testing process, and to provide a suitable testing environment for the student. Our primary objective, of course, is to serve the student.
