CAN System

California Articulation Number System (CAN):
The CAN System is a common course numbering system for many lower-division, transferable courses commonly taught on community college campuses that streamlines the articulation process. The number identifies courses that are comparable in content and ensures their transfer among participating institutions.

With the CAN System, counselors and students are able to determine comparable courses offered at different colleges by using the common number. Yuba Community College District courses that qualify for CAN are provided in the class schedule and catalog. The list of courses for the Yuba Community College District and other participating institutions can also be viewed at the CAN Systems Office web site at http://www.cansystem.org.
