Degrees
Yuba
Community College District offers two opportunities to earn an Associate
in Science Degree for students planning to enter law enforcement, corrections,
or a related field after completing two years of course work. Additionally,
most courses meet UC/CSU transfer requirements for those wishing to pursue
a bachelors degree. Most law enforcement agencies now require some college
course work in order to meet entry level requirements. Students who are
between the ages of 18 and 21 are highly encouraged to begin or complete
the formal education requirements prior to attending the academy or applying
for entry level law enforcement or corrections positions.
